Ramsden Cinema Club is delighted to present Working Title’s latest film “Blitz" on 8th November in Ramsden Memorial Hall.
"Blitz" follows the epic journey of George (Elliott Heffernan), a 9-year-old boy in World War II London whose mother Rita (Saoirse Ronan) sends him to safety in the English countryside. George, defiant and determined to return home to his mum and his grandfather Gerald (Paul Weller) in East London, embarks on an adventure, only to find himself in immense peril, while a distraught Rita searches for her missing son.
Producer Tim Bevan will give a brief talk on the making of the film before its showing on the 8th. We anticipate that there will be a lot of interest in this showing, so book your tickets early!
Talk and film start at 7.30pm; bar opens at 7.00pm for drinks, popcorn and pick and mix.
Online booking now also requires online payment, so if you'd prefer to pay on the night, please email cinema@ramsdenvillage.co.uk to reserve your place.
There will also be a Saturday matinee screening if there is sufficient interest.
