Free Dementia Awareness event at Tall Trees

Tall Trees care home in Shipton-under-Wychwood would like to invite you to our free Dementia Awareness Event on Wednesday 22 March 2017. There will be two sessions on the day:

10am – 12:30pm: for the local community
2pm – 4:30pm: for local businesses, groups & organisations

These free sessions are for anyone wishing to explore what dementia is and meet others to share your experiences. The event will include the following topics…

• What is dementia and how it is diagnosed
• Hints and tips to improve communication and help challenge the way people think, act and talk about the condition
• Practical session to understand some of the day-to day frustrations that can affect a person living with dementia.

At Tall Trees we actively promote a dementia friendly community through sharing the knowledge and skills of our staff.
