The Cotswolds can be a winter wonderland and the magic of a snow covered Bourton on the Water is a real possibility. One of the famous seasonal attractions of the village is the Christmas tree which the Chamber of Commerce and the Parish Council erects in the river each year.

The profusion of lights reflects in the rippling water creating a scene never to be forgotten.

The tree is lit from 6.30 p.m. on the Christmas late night shopping event until the 5th January. With the village ablaze with fairy lights and the High Street closed to traffic from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. shoppers can meander through the streets absorbing the festive atmosphere. There is a plethora of gifts from which to choose and an excellent choice of cafes, pubs and restaurants for food and refreshments.
We also have charity stalls, a children’s ride, petting Pony and the Snow Queen.

The event would not be complete without a visit from Father Christmas.
